Dear American GI Forum National Board of Directors,

I wish you the happiest of the Holiday Season, Christmas Season and New Year!  I thank you for working together to enhance the wellness of our military veterans, their family members, civil/equal rights and educational access.  Working together as a Team we can really achieve more, agree when we can and just agree to disagree when necessary for the greater good of our organization.  When we work together on common sense legislation we can get things done.  Please review the link below.   During our visits to both Democrat and Republican Senate and Congress offices this was one of the bills the AGIF supported.  Senator Tom Cotton approached the AGIF to support this initiative and we wrote a letter of support, and did support this effort on Capitol Hill as the AGIF supports educational opportunities for our youth.   I thank the AGIF members that supported this effort, passed the related resolution, and a special salute to Mario Perales and the Fort Stockton members that went to Capitol Hill in DC with me to advocate on this initiative and other intiatives this past early November.   Working together we can make a positive difference and we still need your help to get our other efforts we are working on like the deported veterans bill, expedited citizenship for immigrants joining the military, Military Accessions Vital to National Interest and fixing our DACA issue and other measures.

This New Year lets make a commitment to work on these issues, work together and get along, be ethical, honest, accountable and transparent and be a positive role model for other veterans and citizens to emulate.  Lets make the American GI Forum an organization that people are excited about and respect what we accomplish for the betterment of our Country.  May God Bless you, the AGIF and the USA.

Sincerely,

Larry Romo
AGIF National Commander
